Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Xbox 360)
I absolutely adore the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, I wasn't too keen on Oblivion though, which is probably why I picked the sequel. I've sank a little bit too much time into this game now, both on PC and Xbox and I've barely scratched the surface. This game holds a special place in my heart and it'd be nice to be in the great outdoors in a game, rather than real life. The sheer content of this game is fantastic, including hundreds upon hundreds of quests to complete, weapons to collect and that doesn't even include the DLC!
Cook, Serve, Delicious! (Steam)
Cook, Serve, Delicious! is basically one of the Papa flash games made into a much better and broader game on Steam. In essence, it's a restaurant simulator but with a hefty chunk relating to managing customers, cleaning things and upgrading your restaurant, very fun and I could definitely play it for hours at a time.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 (Steam)
I need something to remind me of England don't I? So what better way to do that than with Euro Truck Simulator 2? Well, I can think of a few ways but this seems like the most fun to do, transporting cargo all around Europe, with the DLC adding Africa and Russia if my memory serves me correctly.
Fallout New Vegas (Xbox 360)
Ahh, Fallout, I never played it that much to be quite honest, I wish I'd played a lot more of it, I could do but I can't be bothered to go back and start it again, that's the problem I have with Fallout, I start playing but never finish, so being abandoned on an island would be the perfect opportunity to play the game
Civilization V (Steam)
I love me a good strategy game, I also enjoy history or historical related games, so it's no surprise that Civilization V is on this list, I'm on and off with this game, either playing it for hours and hours at a time or maybe just a half hour session every now and then. But what I can guarantee is fun and that's just the standalone game, while the DLCs are pricey, they do add a lot of content into the game.
Metal Slug Anthology (PSP)
Anthology collections are great. Metal Slug is great. The PSP was, well, it was alright I guess. However, when the Metal Slug anthology came out for PSP, I was all over it. I've adored the game series ever since I was small. I'd definitely keep this on me at all times if I could.
Terraria (Steam)
Yeah, I prefer this over Minecraft. There's a lot more stuff in this game than there is in Minecraft, it's on Steam and the updates are absolutely massive albeit a little spread out. A nice 2D game to play and build my own town in or something like that.
No More Room in Hell (Steam)
Zombie games are great and never have I had more fun than I did when playing No More Room in Hell. It really is a well made survival game, it's free and you're play-through will never be the same two times through. A nice variety of weapons and such, with ammo being very scarce and a lot of little bits dotted about, which is fantastic and everything I love about this game
The Sims 3 (Steam)
The Sims 3, a lovely game. It's basically a life simulator. I need to simulate my life and pretend I have friends somehow on the island, so what better way to do it than to play the Sims and trap them all in a room while I watch them cook themselves to death.
Mario Kart DS (DS)
This was a tough one, I was gonna pick Double Dash because that was the game from my childhood but looking back on that game, it didn't have that many tracks and I played Mario Kart DS a lot and I still do, I prefer it over most of the other Mario Kart games, it has a nice variety of characters, cars and tracks to pick from, not to mention the AI on the battle mode is superb.
So, there's the ten games I'd take with me onto a desert island. I could probably do one of these for movies, honestly who cares, it's more content.
