Right, I think I need to set a few things straight. The main focus of the blog at first was just a place where I could write whatever I wanted, but that isn't what I want to do now. I'm going to try and stick to a schedule. Every week, one blog post will be up for the viewing pleasure of my two whole followers. I've got one in the works which I'll finish (and start) tomorrow so hold on until then. I think writing a blog post every Saturday would be the best and sometimes one every Sunday too.
Secondly, I'll be doing full fledged game reviews, not just Steam games where I can pretty much copy/paste my work and add a few pictures and colours, but I'll be doing Xbox 360, GameCube, Wii U, Xbox One, N64, Gameboy and so on...
Thirdly, I'm sure that most know that I collect games, I think this would be an ideal place to post what games I've bought in the past month, the first post of this one will be at the end of this month, I wont be including games I've collected on Steam this month because I've probably gotten about 50+ games this month, not including DLC and so on.
I hope this gives off a rough guideline as to what's going to happen. If not then I can't help you any further.
'ello, I'm Ewan, I collect games and write game reviews! Stick around for gaming news, collection updates and a weekly game review every Friday!

The Pros and Cons of the Wii U
Surprisingly, my brother allowed me to play on his Wii U. I've played it quite a bit actually, so I thought it'd be fair if I did a pros and cons for the Wii U, then we'll compare it to the Xbox One.
Positives:
- New Mario Kart is fantastic, includes Waluigi
- Smash Bros is better than the Wii version
- Lego City Undercover was surprisingly good, has some funny references to Cop/Mafia movies like Goodfellas
- Good variety of games
- Super Mario Bros. Platformers are fun when played with other people
- Playing games on the gamepad is pretty much the same graphical standpoint as the TV, which is absolutely amazing
- I can watch TV and play on the Wii U, like the Xbox snap feature really
- Online play is fun, especially on Mario Kart
- Can play Wii games
Negatives:
- Nintendo has succumbed to DLC for Mario Kart, expect it in their other games soon, like new fighters and stages for Smash Bros
- Doesn't include a GameCube adapter and they are hard as balls to come by
- Fingerprints all over the gamepad. like, everywhere
- Ran out of memory pretty fast (32GB), recommend buying a 64GB memory stick and leaving it in the front of the Wii U.
So, should you spend X amount of money on X amount of Wii U's? Yep. It can play Wii games, much like the Wii could play Gamecube games. As you can tell, the positives outweigh the negatives so I'm pretty sure that's a good first step. As for the DLC, it's optional, I'm sure it wont bug you that much, GameCube adapter is optional and for Smash Bros. As for the fingerprints and memory, good luck with those...

The Pros and Cons of the Xbox One
So, I've had a month or so with the Xbox One now, how do I feel about it? I thought I'd sum up my feelings for the console and see if I should've just asked for a Super Nintendo instead.
Positives:
- Blu Ray player is actually pretty good and easy to use and navigate
- 4oD and such video players are also very good
- First person GTA V was fun as hell
- Minecraft is bigger than ever and still has a lot more updates to come
- Walking Dead copy contained all five episodes and the 400 Days DLC
- The graphics are nice
- Killer Instinct and Project Spark both look very promising
- Snap feature for party, friends and achievements have proven themselves useful
- I can watch Black Books on 4oD while I blow up helicopters in GTA V, life is bliss
- I don't have a Kinect
- I'm good at the Advanced Warfare multiplayer, first time I've been good at Call of Duty since World at War, truly remarkable
- Good remakes of games, Metro Last Light, Killer Instinct Classic, Resident Evil and Shadow Warrior stand out amongst them
- A small handful of good games I have yet to play, mainly Sniper Elite 3 and Legend of Korra but some interesting looking titles at least
- Tales of the Borderlands was fantastic and had the best game theme song ever
Negatives:
- Microphone never works when first plugged in, have to hit it with my hand until it stops making static noises
- Microphone is actually very small, so small that it doesn't fit on my head, have to have it lopsided if I want to use it
- Lack of decent games, have already played through all the Telltale games I could get my hands on, GTA V, Minecraft and the new Call of Duty
- Lack of hard drive space on the Sunset Overdrive Xbox One, 320GB or so I think, the amount of space the damned games take up (60.3GB for Halo) is ridiculous
- Can't listen to music without having it open on the snap feature, even if you do get it working it's a pain in the arse to do
- Games with gold are pitiful, D4 was horrendous and one of the worst games of all time, Worms Armageddon was pretty good, #IDARB isn't any good either
- Adverts, adverts everywhere. I pay £40 or so a year for an Xbox Live gold membership and I still get adverts on a paid product. That's like buying an iPhone, but to use it you have to watch a 30 second advert that promotes the iPhone
- Sunset Overdrive was shit and was a digital copy, not a physical copy like I had hoped for
- Free games so far have been a crappy Pinball game where you actually have to buy all the tables that you want for £2.49 or something, Powerstar Golf which is, golf and Warframe which took too long to update I just gave up
- Haven't played Halo Master Chief Collection multiplayer with friends yet because of how unbelievably shit it is right now. Pain in the arse to play forge/custom games with friends
- Fibbage and the You Don't Know Jack Collection Pack aren't available in the UK yet
- Installing more than 20 games on my hard drive will fill it, big problem as I'm planning on getting Dragon Age: Inquisition, possibly Farcry 4 and maybe the new Lego Batman game because the feels
- No chatpad available yet, none in sight either
- The games aren't cheap, because it's a new console
- The new WWE game doesn't have Edge or Christian in
- The Walking Dead is a bit jittery in places, something I've noticed, such as animation freezes
So, should you dole out the sum of money the Xbox One is worth? Not yet. Give it a few years, if anything, get an Xbox 360 or Gamecube. Good variety of games on both of them and their games don't take a whole day to install. Obviously, the cons outweigh the pro's, so keep that in mind.

Who should be in the new Smash Bros game?
So, the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game are out. I picked up the Wii U version, it seems pretty good so far. BUT, they still have a couple missing characters that should be added into the new game that'll be released on the Wii V or whatever is after the Wii U. I've narrowed it down to my Top 10. I'm also using images for the first time, hopefully it turns out OK!
10. Simon Belmont - Castlevania Franchise
Castlevania has been around since the NES and it's odd that he hasn't been included in any of the Smash games. His move set would be easy to make, judging that he was in a game where he had a Vampire Whip, which could be his ranged attack along with just some good ol' fisticuffs. The final smash could be the Stopwatch, which would freeze everyone on the screen for a couple of seconds so you could deal some damage without having to risk yourself getting too damaged.
9. Ghirahim - Legend of Zelda Franchise

It seems like Ghirahim is becoming a staple of the franchise, what with his inclusion in the new Hyrule Warriors game, it seems like he'll be sticking around. I do enjoy his character as he seems like a worthy foe to step up to Ganondorf level if need's be.
8. Ridley - Metroid Series
RIDLEY. RIDLEY. RIDLEY. Yeah, strong demand for Ridley, it probably wouldn't work, due to the huge size OF Ridley. It's still a fan favourite and he's a famed character in the Metroid franchise.
7. King K. Rool - Donkey Kong Country

King K. Rool. Who remembers this guy? He was apart of the Donkey Kong Country series and is a bloody good addition to the Mario universe. Apart from his, uhm, "portrayal" in Mario Sluggers which greatly changed his attire, he'd fit right in with the Smash Bros Roster.
6. Knuckles - Sonic Franchise

Now that Sonic has been added into the Smash Roster, it seems more and more likely that other Sonic characters will be added. With the recent release of Sonic Boom or whatever the hell that "game" was, we might want to wait a little while after what they did to Knuckles...
But seriously, Sega, what is that?
5. Birdo - Super Mario Franchise

Birdo has been in the Mario franchise since the second Super Mario Bros. game on the NES. Y'know, the bad one. I'm honestly surprised at how Birdo hasn't been included into the Smash Bros. roster, given that she could have some great attacks, such as shooting eggs at opponents.

4. Travis Touchdown - No More Heroes
How could I not put this guy on the list? He has a lightsaber-sword thingy which is pretty much a big red sign that says "Hey, put me in this game, I haven't had a decent game in forever." Could quite easily be a carbon copy of Marth or Roy if you wanted it to be, seen as though they have some form of stabby slicey knife...thing.
3. Skull Kid - Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask
As more and more Legend of Zelda characters are added into the Smash Bros. roster, it only seems wise to stick one of the best villains there is. The Skull Kid would be a great addition to the game, I mean, THINK OF THE NOSTALGIA. But seriously, he could attack people with his mask or, I dunno, punching people would be okay too I suppose. Final smash, moon comes crashing down on the stage.
There yah go.
2. Banjo and Kazooie - Banjo and Kazooie Franchise
Ah Microsoft, you thieving bastards. Why? But if Nintendo could somehow acquire Rare again and stop making shitty Kinect games then maybe we'd get somewhere with more Banjo Kazooie characters in Smash Bros and some more good games. I mean, why aren't they in the game in the first place?
1. Waluigi - Super Mario Franchise
Waluigi is the best Nintendo character in the damned universe and if anybody disagrees then I will respect your opinion and judge you from the inside. He's been an assist trophy for too long, he deserves his own character. Think about it like this.
If the Villager from Animal Crossing can get into the game then so can Waluigi.
10. Simon Belmont - Castlevania Franchise

Is It Worth Watching: Jackass
Johnny Knoxville and his band of merry men are a bunch of idiots. That's the only way of describing Jackass. It's funny as hell, because everyone goes through some form of pain, like being shot in the stomach or a disco in the back of a moving van. There's rarely a moment you'll be sat not laughing or trying not to vomit.
While the first Jackass film is damn near great, I definitely prefer the second one, as it has more variety of stunts and a lot of bulls. The first one is more based on the disgusting factor, like paper cutting the middle things of your finger, y'know, the gap in the middle of each finger. Or sticking a toy car up your arse if that's your thing...
But, it achieves it's main goal, it's funny, has a large cast that each take a large amount of pain and somehow had the courage to make a second movie afterwards and then Knoxville went on to make the brilliant Bad Grandpa. It takes a lot of guts to do this, either that or it takes a hell of a lot of stupidity. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was both mind. The only thing I can criticise is the fact that there are a lot of times. if not all of them you'll be thinking "Why would someone do that to themselves?"
Maybe it's because of the massive paycheck that they get at the end, I dunno. But, if you do only have the chance to watch one movie before you die then watch Hot Fuzz. If you can only pick between Jackass and Jackass 2, pick Jackass 2. It's still funny but, again, more variety can be found in the second film and even Bad Grandpa.
But, is it worth watching?
Yes.

I'm Making a Game
So, I met a guy on imgur and we talked for a bit. We then agreed to make a game. It's a zombie MMO, presented from a top down view I think. Not much but raw planning at the moment. I'm working on the backstory and lore of everything, he's working on the actual game itself and all the props and such. Here's a list of the things that should be added into the game when it's completely done:
More updates will be posted in new blog posts, consider this blog an updates page for the game's progress.
Current completion: 0.01%
- Zombie Game
- Repercussions of decisions you make (Killing survivors, looting, moral choices etc)
- Grim environment
- Large variety of items and weapons
- Heavy back story/lore for individual characters and locations
- Open world
- Able to create bases out of makeshift materials
- Barricades
- World of Warcraft type playstyle for multiplayer
- Quite a big map, not too small as to loot the entire world in a short while, not too big to make people discouraged to loot that far out
- Random difficulty locations
- Able to find hostile/friendly survivors
- Character wheel to instruct or talk to characters
- Random loot spawns
- Character traits/names
I'll try and keep you all updated daily, if I don't post an update, that means nothing new or interesting to report to you all. Working on the plot, wish me luck!

Toy Story 4, is it a good idea?
So, I was having a look around a couple websites and apparently Toy Story 4 is being made. Wow. How do you make a sequel to a movie that was supposed to wrap up the trilogy? I mean, it was a push making Toy Story 3, but it was pulled off with excellence and was on par with the original two films. I don't know where they're going to go from here because Toy Story 3 was quite literally the end of the series, with Andy handing his toys over to Bonnie or whatever her name was. Even if the fourth instalment is pure gold and shoots rainbow out of every scene, it'll still ruin the ending of Toy Story 3.
I'm also concerned by the fact that these "short" installations have been, let's face it, rather dissapointing. I mean, they were OK for a filler, but definitely not as good as the movies, which was not expected as it's just a small, twenty minute Halloween special. We're also getting Toy Story That Time Forgot which looks bad, especially seeing as though the adverts for the short are tagged in with Sky, much alike the Toy Story of Terror. Honestly, the only laugh you'll get out of those two are the titles of the short's, which is a push to say the least.
They're running out of ideas too. Toy Story of Terror was about a guy who stole people's toys and sold them for a nice profit while running a motel. Doesn't that sound like Al, from Toy Story 2? Who stole Woody to try and sell him for a profit with the "Roundup Gang". There is no way for Toy Story 4 to make a new plot without backtracking to older ideas that have already been covered.
John Lasseter, who directed the first two is coming back to make the fourth one. This is cause for celebration right? Maybe. I mean, Lee Unkrich directed Toy Story 3 and did a none too shabby job of it, so hat's off to him. John Lasseter worries me though, I mean, he directed Cars 2. That's just worrying enough to begin with. There also appears to be a lack of excitement about the fourth installation, when compared to Toy Story 3 which had an uproar of happiness and joy, the fourth announcement came with a pretty negative and depressing outlook on it.
Pixar are pretty much making a movie few people want to see and they have so many flaws, as much as it pains me to say this, I don't think it'll be worth seeing the new Toy Story instalment.
